The Fitness Manager oversees all fitness operations in the gym, including personal training, group classes, floor coaching, and member experience.

1. Team Leadership & Management
- Recruit, onboard, train, and develop fitness coaches/PTs and group class instructors.
- Create staff schedules (floor shifts, PT, and group classes) to ensure coverage and quality.
- Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
- Set clear KPIs for the fitness team (sessions delivered, revenue, retention, attendance, service quality).
2. Performance Auditing & Accountability
- Regularly audit coaches’ performance (session quality, member feedback, results, attendance, punctuality).
- Monitor PT and class productivity and push coaches to consistently improve performance.
- Review session reports and booking data to ensure productivity targets are met.
- Do not allow free or unrecorded sessions: ensure all PT and paid sessions are booked and logged correctly in the system, with no unauthorized complimentary sessions.
3. Service Quality & Member Experience
- Ensure all classes and PT sessions follow gym standards and training systems.
- Monitor coaching quality on the floor and in classes; provide feedback and corrective actions.
- Handle member feedback and complaints related to fitness services and resolve them quickly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming training environment.
4. Programming & Class Management
- Design and update training systems, class structures, and seasonal training plans.
- Build and manage the group class schedule based on demand and member profiles.
- Ensure consistency between classes (coach-to-member ratio, structure, standards).
- Coordinate specialty programs (weight loss, strength, kids, beginners, etc.).
5. Sales, Revenue & System Compliance
- Drive personal training and small-group training sales (packages, renewals, upgrades).
- Support front desk/sales team with consultations and assessments.
- Track and report PT revenue, class attendance, conversions, and package usage.
- Ensure 100% compliance with booking and billing procedures; no session delivered without being booked in the system.
6. Operations & Safety
- Oversee daily fitness floor operations and equipment use.
- Ensure coaches follow health, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate with maintenance for equipment checks and repairs.
- Ensure all staff certifications are valid and up to date.
7. Reporting & Planning
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on PT revenue, class performance, usage, and member feedback.
- Support budget planning for the fitness department (staffing, equipment, education, events).
- Plan for peak periods and seasonal trends to ensure sufficient staffing and class coverage.
• Education & Qualifications
- Certified fitness professional (REPs, NASM, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent).
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred/required).
- Experience
- 3+ years as a Personal Trainer or Coach.
- 1–2+ years in a supervisory/management role in a gym/fitness setting (preferred).

- Ability to design and manage training programs and class schedules.
- Strong sales mindset and understanding of PT and membership revenue.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and strict with systems and procedures.
