Responsibilities
- Manage end to end Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring timely execution and compliance with procurement KPIs and SLAs
- Support strategic sourcing activities including market analysis, supplier identification, RFx preparation, bid evaluation, and supplier selection
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), audit requirements, and governance standards
- Support supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, contract administration, and value optimization initiatives
- Assist in implementing category strategies and monitoring supplier performance to drive continuous improvement
- Prepare procurement reports, maintain sourcing documentation, and ensure all records are complete and audit ready
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to support procurement requirements and deliver sourcing activities efficiently
- Perform other procurement and category management duties as assigned by the Category Manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations, commercial analysis, and contract management
- Strong knowledge of category management methodologies, supply market analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Hands on experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience using sourcing tools such as eRFx and eAuctions
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem solving skills

Overview
- We are looking to hire a Category Management Specialist to support strategic sourcing, category management, supplier engagement, and end to end procurement activities for our client based in Dubai, one of the largest companies in the region.
- This is a contract role with an initial duration of 5 months, renewable based on performance.
- The role sits within the Category Management department and reports directly to the Category Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end to end Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring timely execution and compliance with procurement KPIs and service level agreements.
- Support strategic sourcing activities, including market analysis, supplier identification, RFx preparation, bid evaluation, and supplier selection.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal procurement policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA), audit requirements, and governance standards.
- Support supplier negotiations, commercial evaluations, contract administration, and value optimization initiatives.
- Assist in implementing category strategies and monitoring supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS) is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management.
- Proven experience in supplier negotiations, commercial analysis, and contract management.
- Strong knowledge of category management methodologies, supply market analysis, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
- Hands on experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using sourcing tools such as eRFx and eAuctions.
