Finance & Operations Accountant

Role Overview

Accounting and Bookkeeping

• Record daily accounting transactions, including sales and purchase invoices, receipts, payments, journals, and expense claims.
• Ensure correct expense classification, cost centres, VAT treatment, and supporting documentation.
• Maintain and regularly reconcile vendor, customer, and employee ledgers.

Invoicing and Collections

• Prepare client invoices using approved engagement terms, purchase orders, service schedules, and internal instructions.
• Track issued invoices and support submission through client portals or email.
• Monitor receivables ageing, follow up on overdue balances, and prepare collection updates.

Closing and Reporting

• Assist with month-end closing, bank and ledger reconciliations, accruals, prepaid expenses, and expense analysis.
• Support management reports, schedules, year-end closing, audit schedules, and auditor queries.

Payroll, Tax, and Administration

• Coordinate payroll inputs including attendance, leave, additions, deductions, reimbursements, and salary transfer details.
• Maintain VAT records and support VAT and corporate tax working files.
• Assist with vendor coordination, payment processing, document management, MIS preparation, and administrative tasks.
• Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and internal information.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting, finance operations, invoicing, receivables, payroll support, and month-end closing.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles, VAT treatment, basic payroll processes, and financial reconciliations.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software; Zoho Books, QuickBooks, Tally, Xero, or similar systems are advantageous.
• CMA/ACCA semi-qualified status is required.

Workplace and Compensation

• The work location is in person.
• Pay is AED 4,500 to AED 5,000 per month.
