Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented

Finance Functional Consultant

to support ERP finance implementation, enhancement, and support activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in finance and accounting processes along with hands-on experience in ERP finance modules such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, ERPNext, or similar platforms.

The role involves gathering business requirements, configuring finance modules, supporting users, conducting testing, and ensuring smooth financial operations within the ERP environment.

The candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from finance users and stakeholders.
  • Understand existing finance processes and recommend ERP-based improvements.
  • Prepare Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), process flows, and business scenarios.

Erp Finance Module Implementation & Support

  • Configure and support ERP Finance modules including:

• Fixed Assets (FA)

  • Cash Management

• Budgeting & Financial Reporting

  • Participate in ERP implementation, enhancement, migration, and support projects.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for system customization, integrations, and issue resolution.
  • Support finance users during month-end and year-end closing activities.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Prepare test cases, test scenarios, and functional validation documents.
  • Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify defects, track issues, and coordinate fixes with technical teams.

User Training & Documentation

  • Prepare user manuals, SOPs, training materials, and process documentation.
  • Conduct end-user training sessions on ERP finance functionalities and best practices.
  • Provide post-implementation support and knowledge transfer.

Support & Troubleshooting

  • Analyze and troubleshoot functional issues related to ERP finance modules.
  • Provide timely resolution for production support tickets and user queries.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend process improvements.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure ERP finance processes comply with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Assist in generating financial and management reports.
  • Support audit activities and finance data validation when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • MBA Finance / CA / CMA / ACCA is an added advantage.

Required Experience

  • Minimum
  • 3+ years of experience
  • as a Finance Functional Consultant or similar role.
  • Experience in ERP implementation and support projects.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP Finance modules such as:
  • SAP FICO
  • Oracle Financials

• Microsoft Dynamics Finance

  • ERPNext
  • Other ERP platforms

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes.
  • Expertise in:

• General Ledger (GL)

  • Fixed Assets
  • Cash Management
  • Budgeting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience preparing functional documentation and reports.
  • Ability to work independently and manage timelines effectively.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of SQL and reporting tools.
  • Experience working in multiple ERP environments.
  • Exposure to financial reporting and data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of finance process automation and workflow management.
