AECOM is seeking a Field Engineer – Fire, Life, Safety to work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The role covers inspection, testing, maintenance, and technical support for fire and life safety systems across commercial and industrial facilities.
The position requires independent field work, detailed documentation, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.
- Maintain and calibrate emergency lighting, exit signage, and other life safety equipment.
- Diagnose malfunctions, implement corrective actions, and provide technical guidance to clients.
- Document inspections, maintenance activities, test results, service history, and compliance information.
- Coordinate field visits, communicate findings to clients, and support project delivery with internal teams.
- Keep current with fire and life safety standards, codes, and best practices.
Required qualifications
- At least 10 years of experience in fire safety systems inspection, testing, and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of life safety systems, emergency response equipment, fire safety codes, and building standards.
- Technical troubleshooting ability and excellent documentation and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate professionally with clients.
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of Saudi Arabian safety regulations and standards is preferred.
- Fire alarm system certification or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Life safety system certification or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Arabic and English language capability is preferred.
- Project management and scheduling experience is preferred.
Workplace
- The role is field-based and involves visits to client facilities in support of inspection, maintenance, and project requirements.
- Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
