Position Objective
Faculty teach one or more Engineering Technology and Science disciplines using an applied, student-centered approach.
The role supports student learning, policy development, academic participation, and extracurricular and community activities.
Workload
- Full-time faculty work 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, excluding lunch, normally from Monday to Friday.
- Academic working hours are based on the teaching schedule, generally averaging 15 credit hours per week over the academic year.
Faculty Responsibilities
- Teach practical courses aligned with program goals and the needs and aspirations of students and the community.
- Use educational technology and innovative instructional methods to support effective learning.
- Assess student progress through tests, projects, assignments, and other evaluation tools.
- Provide individual assistance, resolve student issues, and liaise with supervisors and college personnel.
- Mentor students during internships and work placements, maintain office hours, and monitor student success.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Prepare teaching assignments and materials in advance using the learning-by-doing concept.
