About the Role
The faculty member teaches and develops curriculum for Applied Mathematics and Physics.
The role supports outcome-based education, ABET and CAA accreditation, computational modelling research, and student mentoring through laboratories, capstones, and academic advising.
Teaching and Instruction
- Teach Applied Mathematics and Physics for Naval Applications.
- Prepare course specifications, course learning-outcome mapping, assessments, and rubrics.
- Develop simulation-supported instruction using MATLAB, Python, and naval datasets.
- Maintain laboratory materials and e-learning content.
Research and Modelling
- Conduct research in oceanographic predictive modelling.
- Conduct research in hydrodynamics and ship-ocean interactions.
- Develop optimization and vessel routing models.
- Conduct research in maritime sensor physics.
- Publish research in Scopus-indexed outlets.
- Supervise research- and modelling-based capstone projects.
