Facility/Zone Engineer

Role Overview

Maintenance and Systems

• Plan, supervise, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire and life safety, generators, pumps, BMS, and other MEP systems.
• Manage equipment reliability, recurring failures, root cause analysis, asset registers, maintenance histories, and replacement assessments.
• Maintain HVAC, LV panels, transformers, generators, UPS, lighting, water supply, drainage, pumps, tanks, sanitary systems, and related equipment.

Safety and Compliance

• Keep fire alarms, fire pumps, sprinklers, extinguishers, emergency lighting, and other safety systems operational.
• Conduct inspections, identify hazards, enforce PPE and safe-work procedures, and maintain safety records.
• Maintain regulatory, inspection, permit, and certification compliance records and close gaps before deadlines.

Service and Contractors

• Supervise facilities-management providers and specialist contractors, verify work quality, monitor SLA compliance, and take corrective action when needed.
• Review maintenance requests and complaints, prioritize work, communicate progress, verify completion, and address recurring issues.
• Coordinate responses to power failures, flooding, HVAC failures, and fire alarm activations, then prepare incident reports.

Cost, Inventory, and Reporting

• Monitor electricity and water consumption, optimize HVAC operations and schedules, control maintenance expenditure, and identify savings opportunities.
• Identify critical spare parts, maintain minimum stock levels, monitor inventory, and raise purchase requests when necessary.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports covering maintenance, breakdowns, work orders, energy, incidents, contractors, and KPIs.

Requirements

• Capability to manage preventive and corrective maintenance across facility and MEP systems.
• Capability to coordinate contractors, work orders, inspections, statutory compliance, and emergency response.
• Ability to maintain safety records, maintenance documentation, operational reports, and KPI information.
