Responsibilities
- Deliver facilities and general services across the School, ensuring efficient staff and resource deployment.
- Maintain school facilities and company housing to highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
- Oversee school accommodation requirements and ensure staff housing complies with policies.
- Oversee efficient and cost effective purchasing and contracting in accordance with budget and policy.
- Ensure security and efficient operation of school site, buildings, and grounds in line with Health & Safety guidance.
- Implement issued policies, systems, processes, and student safeguarding measures.
- Plan and resource school based events and activities.
- Manage external service teams (catering, security, maintenance, cleaning, transport, waste disposal, recycling).
- Monitor BMS and BMS alert systems daily.
- Manage facilities and general service teams, ensuring professional development and appraisal.
- Oversee relevant budgets and expenditure, ensuring best value.
- Ensure compliance with local government authority regulations and complete audit actions.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree
- Certificate of Facilities Management / NEBOSH
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role
- Experience working with company accommodation preferred
- Fluent English communication skills
- Attention to detail with diligent follow up
- Skilled in multi tasking and handling pressure
- Organizational ability
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong and consistent supervisory skills

Job Description
- Aldar Education is looking to appoint a passionate and dynamic Facilities & Services Officer (NEBOSH Qualified) to join our thriving team.

Main Duties
- To be responsible for the delivery of facilities and general services across the School, delivering a 'service culture'.
- To ensure school facilities and company housing are maintained to the highest standards (cleanliness, maintenance and safety).
- To oversee school accommodation requirements, ensuring staff are housed in accordance with school expectations and policy.
- To oversee efficient and cost effective purchasing and contracting in accordance with school budget and policy.
General Operations
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance at the School are completed satisfactorily.
- Ensure security and efficient operation of the school site, buildings and grounds at all times.
- Implementation of issued policies, systems, processes and student safeguarding measures.
- Ensure school based events and activities are effectively planned and resourced.
- Ensure essential central services such as catering, security, maintenance, cleaning, transport, waste disposal and recycling are effectively planned and resourced.
- Support the OSM in utilisation of space and resources for buildings.
- Ensure daily monitoring of the BMS and BMS alert systems.
- Support the OSM in procuring and maintaining staff accommodation standards.
Leadership & Management
- Ensure external support service teams are performing in line with school expectations.
- Manage the facilities and general service teams to ensure high standards of service.
- Ensure each team member partakes in professional development, appraisal and training.
Finance, Commercial & Procurement
- Oversee relevant budgets and expenditure, effectively manage costs.
- Support opportunities for shared resource, cost and/or services across partner schools.
- Ensure purchasing policy and Delegation of Authority processes are followed.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure schools are fully compliant with local government authority regulations.
- Ensure all internal and external audit actions are completed in a timely manner.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Promote a positive and proactive health and safety culture.
- Ensure the school complies with current Health & Safety legislation.
- Review and monitor health and safety performance of contractors and suppliers.
- Support the OSM with environmental related aims and objectives.
- Ensure all internal and external health, safety and environmental audits are completed.
Accommodation Management
- Arrange staff accommodations in compliance with school policies and oversee allocation approvals.
- Manage move request forms and coordinate with the housing committee.
- Negotiate apartment terms and conditions with property management companies.
- Oversee furniture procurement, refurbishment, and timely delivery.
- Conduct check in/check out inspections and regular accommodation walk throughs.
- Act as the main point of contact for tenants to report issues.
- Coordinate with management agents for repairs, maintenance, and contract renewals.
- Oversee cleaning, landscaping, security, and utilities management for leased accommodations.
- Monitor tenant complaints and liaise with relevant service providers.
- Facilitate apartment orientation, key handovers, and inventory management for new staff.
- Manage offboarding processes, including bill cancellations and apartment inspections.
- Ensure vacated apartments are cleaned, maintained, and ready for reallocation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelors Degree
- Related industry qualification, of graduate level, for the assigned functional area(s).
- Certificate of Facilities Management / NEBOSH.
Minimum Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably within an Education or Hospitality background.
- Experience working with company accommodation preferred.
