Ethos is seeking experienced Directors of Public Affairs to help train a foundational AI lab's latest language model.
The work focuses on professional document, spreadsheet, and slide deck tasks across core communications workflows.
Core Workflows
- Create, evaluate, and refine press releases and media statements.
- Create executive talking points and briefing memos.
- Develop crisis communications response plans.
- Create editorial style guides and content calendars.
- Build media coverage tracking spreadsheets.
- Draft internal and external newsletters.
- Train and evaluate AI-generated professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years in journalism, corporate communications, or public relations producing press releases, briefing memos, or editorial content under deadline pressure.
- Track record of shaping messaging for executives or media outlets.
- Sharp news judgment and command of AP style or equivalent editorial standards.
- Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship.
- Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
Compensation
- Compensation is $70 per hour.
Commitment
- Flexible commitment of 5 to 20 hours per week, with the option to work more.
Location
- Fully remote, with work completed on the candidate's own schedule.
