About the Job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Executive Sous Chef to join Jumeirah Mina Al Salam.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

Collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B Manager to develop sales strategies and special events.

Supervise kitchen team members, conduct briefings, provide feedback, and establish training plans to develop competencies.

Conduct spot-checks to monitor compliance with procedures, hygiene, and par stocks, reporting findings to the General Manager.

Enforce adherence to SOP formats among kitchen management colleagues, adjusting for improvements under Executive Chef guidance.

Verify delegated duties are carried out in accordance with hotel standards and instructions.

Supervise daily attendance, control punctuality, absenteeism, and overtime, ensuring accurate recording of duty times.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Minimum 8–10 years of progressive culinary experience within luxury hospitality, large-scale resort operations, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or Executive Sous Chef capacity.

Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage or another relevant field.

Strong capability to support the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional, guest-centric culinary experiences, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation across all outlets and dining concepts.

Strong operational and financial awareness, with experience in managing food costs, controlling waste, supporting budgeting processes, and optimising kitchen efficiency.
