About the Role

Responsibilities
- Develop business across diverse markets/regions within all areas of private clients, family offices of UHNWI & HNWI
- Achieve superior sales revenues/AUMs above predetermined target and increase FAB’s market share
- Provide clients with an above optimum level of service and full investment solutions
- Identify/segment target markets, develop business to widen portfolios and implement strategic/marketing plan for Private Banking
- Build and manage a portfolio of UHNWI & HNWI and provide maximum personalized services
- Maintain/expand current/future client base, acquire net new business via referrals, contacts and marketing
- Proactively enhance PB’s offerings by initiating and supporting internal processes and workflows
- Manage specific projects end to end including managing/liaising with other group colleagues
- Promote cross selling between Group branches/offices globally
- Assess prospects with full vetting/due diligence addressing PEPs, OFAC, AML, and KYC
Requirements
- Track record of excellent academic performance from a reputable university, preferably in business, economics, marketing, MBA or accountancy/finance background
- Strong relationship management and new/ongoing business development skills
- At least 5 years of experience as an 'industry hand' in private banking coupled with experience in other banking environment, investment companies
- Experience in leadership
- Experienced problem solver in tandem with decision making
- Excellent written and spoken English as well as Arabic, French, Hindi and/or Urdu as the case may be relating to client geography

Job Purpose
- The Private Banker focus is to develop business across diverse markets/regions within all areas of private clients, family offices of UHNWI & HNWI, especially with different offshore and onshore locations.
- To achieve superior sales revenues/AUMs above a predetermined target and increase FAB’s market share.
- To provide clients with an above optimum level of service and full investment solutions.
- Identify/segment target markets, develop business to widen portfolios and implement the strategic/marketing plan for Private Banking.
- Building and managing a portfolio of UHNWI & HNWI and provide maximum personalized services.
- Maintain/expand current/future client base, acquire net new business via referrals, contacts and marketing.
- Proactively enhance PB’s offerings by initiating and supporting internal processes and workflows.
Tasks
- Maintain and develop a client base of HNWI & UHNWI providing excellent service to develop net new business.
- Manage specific projects End to End / 360 Degrees including managing/liaising with other group colleagues.
- Develop new business through own sources, existing professional connections, and introductions via the bank.
- Opportunity spotting externally and from within the Group.
- Promote the 3 main businesses of Private Banking, marketing and business development to clients for both Offshore and Onshore.
- Coordinate and promote prospects and business with other RMs and Group coordinates Globally.
- Promote cross selling between Group branches/offices in the Gulf and elsewhere Globally.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision makers and turn relationships into sources of referral.
- Identify target markets, develop new business, increase wallet share of existing clients, and implement annual marketing plan.
- Initiate proactively solutions, sales and market initiatives.
- Participate with others in Product development and marketing.
- Solicit business primarily in the disciplines of the trilogy of Private Banking: Banking, Fiduciary, Portfolio Management.
Qualifications
- Track record of excellent academic performance from a reputable university. Preferable in business, economics, marketing, MBA or accountancy/finance background.
- Strong relationship management and new/ongoing business development skills.
- At least 5 years of experience as an 'industry hand' in private banking coupled with experience in other banking environment, investment companies.
- Experience in leadership.

- Ability to work independently, develop professional long term relationships and establish an extensive network of potential and actual individual and corporate high net worth clients.
- Ability to build excellent relationships with a HNW client base by providing excellent service.
- Opportunity spotting skills to identify, explore and transact new market segments.
- Ability to ensure client portfolios have required diversification.
- Ability to participate in product development and market/transact these.
- Ability to think and mastermind 'Out of Box' bespoke solutions.
Job Context
- Successful Private Bankers should demonstrate 'Hunting' and 'Farming' capabilities to deliver AUMs and revenue streams based on the sophisticated/tailored trilogy of private banking platform.
- Measured by private banking industry criteria: AUMs and Revenues.
- By way of: number of new relationships opened, number of new relationships transferred from within the FAB Group, number of existing relationships managed with the goal of increasing wallet share.
- Via the private banking disciplines: Banking, Fiduciary, Portfolio Management, and also derivatives and esoteric funds.
- Using the competitive advantage of FAB’s Unique Selling Point: Offshore Platform and Onshore Platform.
- Optimum level of relationships managed after a period of 4 years (circa 75–80).
