About the Role
First Abu Dhabi Bank seeks a VP & Senior Audit Manager to lead audits of Risk and Global Markets across the FAB Group. The role requires an Associate Chartered Accountant or STEM bachelor's degree with 3-5 years post-qualification experience in internal audit, market risk, or related areas.

- Participate and lead audits covering Risk and Global Markets across FAB Group
- Provide assurance to Management by identifying weaknesses and reporting audit findings
- Act as day to day contact with teams in ERM space and advise on risk level/direction
- Establish risk universe for internal audit and provide inputs for annual risk based audit plan
- Ensure bank’s assets are safeguarded by evaluating controls
- Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues
- Monitor financial performance and report variances
- Execute audits per GIA policies and provide input to development of practices
- Review activities of desks within ERM business to define Audit Universe
- Prepare and maintain Risk Assessments of Process Streams within ERM
- Conduct audits and assess governance, risk management, and control procedures
- Draft and finalize audit worksheets/reports and negotiate Management Action Plans
Requirements
- Associate Chartered Accountant; bachelor's degree (STEM)
- 3 5 years post qualification experience within Internal Audit, Market Risk, Middle Office, Product Control, Operations (Supervisory) of an international or large regional bank in Treasury, Trading & Global Markets business
- Detailed understanding of Treasury, Trading & Global Markets business and related enablement, support & control functions
- Problem solving skills
- Report writing skills (professional English)
- Self directed, able to manage multiple tasks and ability to work under pressure
- Good analytical skills, critical thinking, initiative
- Coaching & mentoring junior staff, especially UAE National colleagues

Job Summary / Introduction
- Participate and lead audits covering Risk and Global Markets across FAB Group.
- Thorough understanding of business, product dynamics, market, operational risk management, CAR, ICAAP processes, and regulatory environment.
- Provide assurance to Management by identifying weaknesses and reporting audit findings.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish risk universe for internal audit and provide inputs for annual risk based audit plan.
- Ensure bank’s assets are safeguarded by evaluating controls.
- Provide guidance and on the job training for junior colleagues.
- Promote organization’s values and ethics.
- Monitor financial performance and report variances.
- Execute audits per GIA policies and provide input to development of practices.
- Review activities of desks within ERM business to define Audit Universe.
- Add value by suggesting business and process improvements.
- Prepare and maintain Risk Assessments of Process Streams within ERM.
- Establish/update and maintain Audit programs in central audit management tool.
- Conduct audits and assess governance, risk management, and control procedures.
- Draft and finalize audit worksheets/reports and negotiate Management Action Plans.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Associate Chartered Accountant; bachelor's degree (STEM).
- 3 5 years post qualification experience within Internal Audit, Market Risk, Middle Office, Product Control, Operations (Supervisory) of an international or large regional bank in Treasury, Trading & Global Markets business.
- Control function background preferred.
- Detailed understanding of Treasury, Trading & Global Markets business and related enablement, support & control functions.
- Problem solving skills.
- Report writing skills (professional English).
- Self directed, able to manage multiple tasks and ability to work under pressure.
- Good analytical skills, critical thinking, initiative.
- Coaching & mentoring junior staff, especially UAE National colleagues.
Preferred / Beneficial
- Preferable CFA, FRM, master's in mathematics / statistics / finance, CIA.
