Job Summary

  • Responsible for all culinary activities within the company, ensuring highest standards of food quality, presentation, and innovation.
  • Demands exceptional leadership, creativity, and organizational skills to manage the kitchen team and deliver outstanding dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day to day running of the kitchen as directed by General Manager or Food and Beverage Director.
  • Implement all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Manage and systemize all food production; oversee inventory and purchasing.
  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
  • Develop new dishes and overhaul menus to attract clientele.
  • Approve dishes before adding them to the menu.
  • Manage kitchen production efficiently for smooth operations and high quality dishes.
  • Analyze and optimize menu for profitability.
  • Handle guest queries or complaints in conjunction with General Manager or Food and Beverage Director.
  • Provide support and training to all sections of the kitchen.
  • Visit all outlet restaurants to ensure consistency in operations, quality, and guest experience.
  • Comply with municipality standards and ministry requirements for cleanliness, organization, and food safety.

Qualification, Experience & Knowledge

  • Culinary Degree.
  • 15 years proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in high volume restaurant or hospitality.
  • Proficiency in menu planning, recipe, and culinary techniques.
  • Strong leadership abilities with capacity to inspire and mentor kitchen staff.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen equipment, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and financial analysis.
  • Experience with cost and labor management.
  • Understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
