Job Summary

  • Responsible for managing a specific kitchen station, preparing high quality food according to company standards, maintaining food safety and hygiene, supervising junior kitchen staff, and ensuring efficient kitchen operations in a fast paced QSR environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications.
  • Manage and oversee a designated kitchen section (e.g., grill, fryer, salad, prep, or hot kitchen).
  • Ensure food is prepared and served within established service times.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control, and consistency.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned workstation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and inform the Kitchen Manager of inventory requirements.
  • Minimize food waste and ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries and checking product quality.
  • Support menu rollouts, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field (preferred).
  • 3 years of kitchen experience, with at least 2 years as a Chef de Partie or Senior Commis in a QSR, casual dining, or high volume restaurant.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high volume kitchen environment.
  • HACCP or Food Safety Certification is an advantage.
