The Hotel

  • Mandarin Oriental, Doha is located in the heart of Msheireb Downtown Doha, directly fronting the 'Barahat,' an open air square surrounded by impressive retail, dining, entertainment and cultural offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Assume full responsibility of all related operational, administrative and financial aspects of all kitchens related to Mandarin Oriental, Doha.
  • Oversee all operational and administrative aspects of the culinary division.
  • Monitor industry trends and collaborate with internal and external partners in culinary research and development efforts.
  • Formulate and implement procedural guidelines, policies and standards pertaining to the overall food and beverage operations.
  • Guide and support the culinary team in the implementation and adherence of company standards, processes & systems.
  • Develop standards, processes and tools to assist in delivering consistent culinary products.
  • Provide visionary leadership and management from development process, product creation through implementation.
  • Train, evaluate and schedule all culinary colleagues.
  • Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the kitchens and stewarding area.
  • Oversee and follow through the food safety standards.
  • Work closely with all outlet managers and all Chef de Cuisines to plan menus, prices and promotional events.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction in accordance to the MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in culinary leadership roles, preferably in luxury hotels.
  • In depth knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety, and cost management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
