Estimator Engineer (Civil)

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take offs, and bills of quantities for civil and structural works including earthworks, foundations, concrete structures, piling, drainage, and site infrastructure for large scale retail commercial, healthcare, residential and mixed use projects.
• Review and analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract conditions to understand civil works scope and requirements.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information required for accurate estimation of civil works.
• Prepare material take offs, price analysis, equipment requirements, and subcontractor scope definitions for civil construction activities.
• Develop comprehensive cost breakdowns including direct costs, indirect costs, overhead, profit margins, and contingencies for civil works.
• Utilize estimating software such as CostX, Candy, Timberline, and other estimation tools to prepare accurate and competitive pricing for civil works.
• Coordinate with civil subcontractors, material suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate rates.
• Prepare tender submissions, bid proposals, and commercial offers for civil works in compliance with client requirements and deadlines.
• Conduct value engineering analysis to identify cost saving opportunities in civil works without compromising quality or specifications.
• Prepare comparison sheets, cost analysis reports, and risk assessments for civil works to support management decision making.
• Participate in pre bid meetings, site visits, and clarification sessions with clients and consultants.
• Maintain and update cost databases, unit rates, historical data, and civil subcontractor/supplier information.
