About the Role
A well-established main contractor in Dubai is seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead the estimating function for large-scale construction projects. The role involves managing tenders, cost estimates, and team leadership.

Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and submission of accurate and competitive tenders for major construction projects
- Manage the estimating team throughout the tender process
- Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings, and contract requirements
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take offs, and pricing strategies
- Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers
- Identify project risks and value engineering opportunities
- Coordinate with commercial, procurement, engineering, and project delivery teams during bid preparation
- Attend pre tender meetings, site visits, and client clarification meetings where required
- Ensure all tenders are submitted in line with company procedures and deadlines
- Maintain and develop the company's estimating database, cost benchmarks, and historical pricing information
- Present tender recommendations and commercial analysis to senior management
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related discipline
- 10+ years' experience within the construction industry
- At least 4 years in an Estimating Manager or Senior Estimator position
- Previous experience working for a recognised main contractor in the UAE or GCC
- Strong understanding of local construction methods, procurement routes, and market pricing
- Proven experience pricing large scale building projects
- Excellent knowledge of subcontractor and supplier markets across the UAE
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
