Responsibilities
- Lead the design development process from concept through detailed design and construction documentation
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design consultants, including architects, interior designers, landscape architects, structural engineers, and MEP consultants
- Ensure design solutions align with project briefs, business plans, market positioning, and development objectives
- Review and challenge design proposals to optimize functionality, aesthetics, operational efficiency, and value
- Drive innovation and design excellence across all projects
- Monitor consultant performance, deliverables, and compliance with contractual obligations
- Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements, RERA regulations, building codes, and other relevant authority requirements
- Review technical submissions, design reports, drawings, specifications, and BIM models
- Conduct value engineering exercises while maintaining project quality and design intent
- Review design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and project objectives
- Provide design management support during tendering, procurement, and construction phases
- Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material samples, and mock ups
Requirements
- Experience in design management for premium residential, commercial, mixed use, or hospitality developments
- Knowledge of Dubai Municipality regulations, Civil Defence requirements, RERA regulations, and building codes
- Ability to manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design consultants
- Strong skills in reviewing technical submissions, design reports, drawings, specifications, and BIM models
