Job Summary
The Environmental Officer manages environmental programs and supports sustainable development across assigned operations.
The role promotes environmental best practices and supports projects at local, regional, and international levels.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage environmental matters for assigned projects, yards, and facilities and develop environmental requirements.
- Implement Environmental Management Plans and support project HSE strategy development.
- Monitor environmental impacts, identify risks, and develop adaptive mitigation strategies.
- Conduct environmental aspects and impacts analyses for working sites.
- Recommend and evaluate measures addressing air, water, land, noise, dust, waste, and operational processes.
- Prepare environmental and sustainability content for tenders, proposals, and project bids.
- Comply with organizational and legislative requirements.
- Develop environmental awareness, sustainability, and HSE training programs.
- Review environmental objectives and targets with HSE and project leadership.
- Act as a technical expert supporting sites and projects on environmental issues.
- Advise on management and containment of environmental issues.
- Help prevent the occurrence and recurrence of environmental incidents and accidents.
