About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide face to face academic support to students individually and in small groups
- Support students in developing reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills
- Reinforce teacher instruction and clarify concepts when required
- Guide students through assignments, projects, and assessment preparation
- Monitor and record student attendance daily
- Track student engagement and assignment completion
- Identify students who may be falling behind and implement timely interventions
- Follow up with students regarding missing work and deadlines
- Support students in setting goals and taking ownership of their learning
- Build positive relationships with students
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding attendance, engagement, and progress
- Participate in meetings with teachers and Academic Advisors
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in English, English Language Arts, English Literature, Education with an English specialization or a related field
- Valid teaching qualification recognized in the UAE
- Minimum 3 years of experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or supporting students in English or English Language Arts at middle school and high school level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with students individually and in small groups
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and school leadership
- Ability to maintain a positive and inclusive environment
- Adaptability and problem solving skills to support diverse learning needs
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with educational learning platforms, technology enhanced instruction and Microsoft Office applications
- Commitment to student centered learning and professional development

Position Overview
- The English Learning Coach provides face to face academic support to students at the iCademy Learning Hub, focusing on English Language Arts.
