About the Role
W Hotels Dubai seeks an Engineer I to perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance in guest rooms and public areas. The role requires basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, along with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve guest repair requests
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and machinery
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut off valves for equipment and utility disconnects
- Maintain maintenance inventory and order parts and supplies as needed
- Perform surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and woodwork repair, and replace light bulbs and air conditioner filters
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing, and electrical components
- Program televisions and perform general engineering related maintenance and inventory
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior gardens and irrigation systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting
- Valid driver's license
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry

Job Description
- Responder y atender las solicitudes de reparaciones de los huéspedes.
- Comunicarse con los huéspedes/clientes para resolver problemas de mantenimiento.
- Realizar mantenimiento preventivo en herramientas y equipo de cocina y sala de máquinas, incluyendo limpieza y lubricación.
- Inspeccionar visualmente las herramientas, el equipo o las máquinas.
- Transportar equipos (por ej., herramientas, radio).
- Identificar, localizar y operar todas las válvulas de cierre para el equipo y todas las llaves de desconexión de servicios generales para los edificios.
- Llevar un inventario de mantenimiento y solicitar piezas y suministros según sea necesario.
- Comunicar las actividades y problemas diarios a los empleados de los otros turnos.
- Demostrar conocimientos o aptitud básica en acondicionamiento de aire y refrigeración, electricidad, mecánica, plomería, sistemas neumáticos/electrónicos, carpintería, equipo de cocina, vehículos, ahorro de energía y manejo general del edificio.
- Realizar preparación y pintura de superficies, pequeñas reparaciones de tabiques y maderaje, reemplazo de bombillas y filtros de aire acondicionado.
- Probar, diagnosticar averías y realizar reparaciones básicas de equipos, plomería, componentes eléctricos.
- Programar televisores y realizar tareas de mantenimiento general e inventario relacionadas con ingeniería.
Desired Skills
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, or vocational/technical training.
- Related work experience: Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting.
- Hotel engineering/maintenance experience valued.
- Supervisory experience: Not required.
- License or certification: Valid driver's license.
