Company Description

  • Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) is an iconic ocean liner reborn as a floating hotel and lifestyle destination in Dubai, celebrating British maritime heritage with 447 rooms and exceptional dining.

Main Duties Administration

  • Coordinate with suppliers' quotations for print production of collateral.
  • Coordinate with purchasing any outstanding purchase requisitions.
  • Collection of press clippings and build up a press archive.
  • Maintain a database for media, suppliers and events companies.
  • Maintain the hotel photo library and filing.
  • Ensure efficient and accurate filing system, both manual and electronic.

Main Duties Social Media

  • Respond to queries on social media pages.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in generating content for social media pages.
  • Track performance of social media pages on a weekly basis.
  • Maintain a database of key influencers for hotel stays and dining.

Financial and Revenue Responsibilities

  • Follow up and ensure payments to suppliers are made.
  • Assist in preparation and management of department's budget.
  • Assist in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget.
  • Assist in monitoring and controlling departmental costs.
  • Assist in preparation of hotel strategic plan, goals program, and Marketing Departmental Budget.

Guest Service Responsibilities

  • Ensure media or VIPs stays and reviews are communicated to other departments, and all special requirements are noted and met.

Marketing & Communications Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing effective PR and advertising strategies.
  • Liaise with appointed advertising agency or in house graphic designer for design and layout coordination.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in organizing and conducting photo shoots.
  • Track and maintain information about competitors' marketing and communication activities.
  • Track and maintain information on Food & Beverage trends and competitors' activities.
  • Act as liaison between hotel and appointed agencies to generate awareness and develop press releases.
  • Assist in creating property press kits, press releases and creative communication.
  • Develop and maintain active contacts with the press and key overseas media.
  • Build a database of key media contacts, opinion makers and local VIPs.
  • Assist in developing sales promotions with external partners.
  • Ensure hotel's web pages and OTA pages are up to date.
  • Ensure correct policy and brand standards are followed in all marketing collateral.

Other Duties

  • Maintain good relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • Report to duty punctually wearing correct uniform/attire and nametag.
  • Maintain high standard of personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Provide friendly, courteous and professional service.
  • Ensure correct brand standards and methods of service are maintained.
  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by industry, brand or hotel.
  • Be flexible and carry out any other reasonable duties.
  • Attend training and meetings as required.
  • Assess situations and react accordingly through analysis and perspective.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in marketing, digital or related professional area.
  • Strong luxury hotel background is preferred.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken. Fluency in Arabic is appreciated.
