Employee Relation Specialist

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for employee relations matters, grievances, and workplace concerns.
• Conduct employee investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions or actions.
• Manage disciplinary matters, performance issues, and Performance Improvement Plans.
• Interpret HR policies, procedures, and applicable Qatar employment regulations.
• Advise and coach managers on employee relations, conflict resolution, and effective communication.
• Handle complex and sensitive employee relations cases while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support employee engagement, recognition, and other people initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and employee relations case records.
• Ensure HR and employee relations practices remain aligned with applicable employment laws and internal policies.

Candidate requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 8 years of HR experience with strong hands-on employee relations exposure is required.
• Prior employee relations or HR experience in Qatar is required.
• Strong practical knowledge of Qatar Labour Law and employment regulations is required.
• Hands-on experience with grievances, investigations, disciplinary cases, employee conflicts, and Performance Improvement Plans is required.
• Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills are required.
• Professional fluency in Arabic and English, written and spoken, is required.
• HR or HC certifications would be an advantage.
