To Be Successful as an ELV Assistant Technician

Key Qualifications & Skills

• Technical or electrical diploma (2-year degree) or completion of an electrical apprenticeship • 2–4 years of experience in ELV installations or construction site support • Basic technical knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA, and Structured Cabling systems • Ability to assist with cable pulling, device installation, termination, and testing activities • Experience in using hand and power tools, soldering, and fault-testing equipment • Understanding of ELV testing procedures and inspection requirements • Familiarity with site safety rules, HSE compliance, and good housekeeping practices • Ability to follow drawings, instructions, and work schedules accurately • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within site teams • Strong work ethic with focus on quality, productivity, and meeting daily targets • Team-oriented, adaptable, and proactive with a positive attitude • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and improve technical knowledge
