About the Role
Euro Mechanical seeks an Electrical Site Engineer for preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical systems in Abu Dhabi. The role involves fault diagnosis, maintenance of electrical installations, and ensuring HSE compliance.

Responsibilities
- Participate in fault diagnosis and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with requirements before handover to operations
- Prepare work orders, obtain work permits, review wiring plans and diagrams, and arrange required materials, tools, and equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair electronic and pneumatic instrumentation in the field or workshop
- Test and calibrate repaired electronic and pneumatic instruments
- Run diagnostic programs for data acquisition systems and programmable logic controllers to support software maintenance
- Prepare daily activity reports detailing the cause of faults, nature of work completed, materials used, manpower involved, and time taken
- Ensure all tools and test equipment are maintained in clean and serviceable condition
- Provide technical assistance and support to the Operations Team during process shutdown and start up activities
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards and guidelines in all work activities
- Advise the Supervisor on spare parts and material requirements
- Ensure maintenance activities are carried out in line with company standing instructions, procedures, and good oil industry practice
- Provide training and guidance to newly employed technicians, including UAE National Developers
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Instrumentation & Control discipline
- Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical & instrument control systems maintenance
- Experience in the oil and gas industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of process control systems, instrumentation, Fire & Gas safety systems, data acquisition systems, and programmable logic controllers
- Ability to read and interpret wiring plans, diagrams, work orders, and technical maintenance documentation
- Strong understanding of HSE standards, company procedures, and good oil industry maintenance practices
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong planning, time management, prioritisation, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work confidently and collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, motivate, and support technicians and team members
- Adaptability to support special projects and various business units as required

Role Overview
- Electrical Site Engineer is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities safely and effectively on electrical systems and equipment.
- The role supports reliable field production by diagnosing faults, maintaining and repairing electrical installations, motors, switchgear, transformers, power distribution systems, lighting, earthing, and protection systems.
- Ensures compliance with HSE and company procedures, supports shutdown and start up activities, and provides technical guidance to technicians.
