- Plan, design, and oversee the construction and maintenance of buildings, structures, pipelines, gas plants, cooling towers, water and sewage systems, waste disposal units, and other civil facilities
- Conduct technical and feasibility studies, including site investigations and assessments

- Perform complex engineering calculations and verify technical design requirements
- Coordinate with clients, architects, subcontractors, consultants, and other project professionals
- Prepare job specifications, technical documents, and tender requirements
- Support and supervise tendering and subcontractor selection processes
- Identify and resolve civil design, construction, and development issues
- Manage project resources, maintenance budgets, and civil engineering activities
- Schedule the procurement and delivery of construction materials, tools, and equipment
- Ensure all civil works comply with applicable legal, regulatory, quality, and HSE requirements
- Assess the sustainability and environmental impact of projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas or petrochemical industry
- Strong experience in civil engineering design, construction, site supervision, and maintenance
- Good understanding of civil works related to buildings, industrial facilities, pipelines, water systems, sewage systems, and waste disposal units
- Familiarity with oil and gas industry working practices and strong attention to HSE requirements
- Ability to conduct technical studies, site investigations, engineering calculations, and design reviews
- Strong working knowledge of construction standards, methods, and best practices
- Proficiency in relevant civil engineering and design software
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills

Overview
- The Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, coordinating, and supervising the construction and maintenance of civil structures and facilities within oil and gas projects.
- The role covers buildings, warehouses workshops and responsible for the layout and arrangement of pipes, tubes and vents and ensuring the proper maintenance of oil plants.
- The position ensures that projects are completed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in compliance with applicable legal requirements, HSE standards, company procedures, and recognised construction practices.
