Role Overview
The Electrical / Mechanical Technician supports engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, and workshop activities.
The role requires practical technical skills, drawing interpretation, hands-on problem solving, and support for project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Source CNC machine parts and related components.
- Fabricate and assemble metallic and non-metallic parts from drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions.
- Support assembly and testing of electrical systems and ongoing project activities.
- Maintain workshop and laboratory equipment, tools, materials, and other resources.
- Coordinate equipment servicing, repair, maintenance, and testing with suppliers and contractors.
- Tag equipment and tools and maintain asset movement, maintenance, inspection, and testing records.
- Evaluate new equipment and tools and support demonstrations, prototypes, and projects.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and comply with HSE procedures and safe working practices.
Requirements
- DAE or diploma in electrical, mechanical, electromechanical, or related technical engineering.
- Hands-on experience in mechanical fabrication, assembly, maintenance, or electrical work.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, sketches, and technical instructions.
- Practical knowledge of workshop tools and equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a calm, organized, and professional manner.
