Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage electrical engineering and project execution activities.
- Review electrical designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions.
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, DG sets, UPS, panels, distribution, lighting, earthing, and applicable ELV/BMS systems.
- Review BOQs, estimates, tender documents, specifications, and contractor proposals.
- Monitor site electrical works, project schedules, quality, materials, workmanship, and test reports.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and authorities.
- Review method statements, inspection and test plans, and commissioning procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IS/IEC standards, CEA requirements, electrical safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Conduct inspections and audits, prepare reports, support planning and cost control, and resolve construction issues.
- Lead and mentor electrical engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
Experience
- 10-15 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering and project management.
- Experience with building or infrastructure, railway or metro, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience in design review, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Experience managing electrical contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of electrical design and engineering principles, HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, DG, UPS, lighting, earthing, and power distribution.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of BOQ, estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
- B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- M.E. or M.Tech in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems is an added advantage.
- Professional certifications in project management or electrical safety are preferred.
- Willingness to work at the Shimla site and undertake site inspections.
