Job Purpose
The role is responsible for working with WBG & IB Coverage UAE & East Asia & GTx teams from East Asia in structuring GTx solutions, managing and growing of GTx Business of the Bank across Middle East for both Corporate & NBFI segment and reporting to MD & Head of International Development GTx
Key Accountabilities
- Candidate should have a strong drive for GTx Client Solutions , understanding of the GTx Products and GTx clients in the both Middle East & Far East Region.
- Delivery of specific revenue targets, returns on risk adjusted assets and equity consistent and commensurate with the Bank’s acceptable risk parameters.
- Work closely with coverage teams and make the management aware of performance gaps with suggestions to rectify and improve performance and deepen client relationship
- Actively engage with client together with East Asia Coverage & GTx team to build GTx business for the Bank in the Middle East Region and in the origination,structuring and implementation of Payments , Liquifity and Trade Finance trade finance deals for Clients from East Asia including orporates and NBFI segment
- Responsible for structuring GTx deals ( including Payments , Liquidity & Trade Finance ) and providing technical expertise to relationship managers and facilitate client discussions. Lead structuring of bespoke GTB Solutions and ensure a high quality customer experience through consultative approach.
- Structure, execute and implementing workable and innovative solutions including Treasury Advuisory and structured trade finance transactions that meet customer needs.
- Establish strong stakeholder relationships and work with colleagues and partners across the East AsIA network to build a strong GTx pipeline.
- Ensure GTx transactions and facilities are being executed on timely manner.
- Partner with coverage teams in order to develop quality credit proposals supporting structuring of existing and new GTx facilities including Complex Trade Transactions
- Identify and manage fraud, regulatory and compliance risks in the transactions when developing solutions for clients.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of products, systems, processes, and practices while taking into account client needs, market developments and trends.
- Actively participate in opportunities to update product skills, understand market trends and competitor behaviours.
- Work closely with Coverage teams across the region and network to develop new markets, clients, and products.
- Work with Coverage team on creating detailed Client Account Plan for growing GTx business and maximize market share with focus on clients from East Asia into Middle East
- Closely monitoring utilization of GTx facilities and cross sell non-credit GTx products / services to deepen client wallet.
- Understand and comply with regulations and internal policies i.e. Credit / Compliance / Operational Risks.
- Handle transactions on end to end basis.
- Work closely with Compliance, Finance , Operations for client on-boarding and smooth execution of transactions.
- Work closely with GTx Product Manager (Payments , Liquidity , Trade & Nex Gen ), UAE to finalize GTx to structure solutions for Corporate & NBFI Clients
- Provide regular pipeline update to grow GTx business in the Niddle East region for East Asian names .
Minimum Qualification
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or equivalent discipline
Minimum Experience
- Min 10-15 years of Transaction Banking Sales experience with specialized knowledge instructured solutions across Payments, Liquidity & Trade. Candidate should have an experience of Origination, Developing Client Relationship and experience of managing East Asian clients
- Strong Client network with focus to grow GTx business for the bank in the Middle East region.
- Experience in managing clients from East Asia especially Chinese and exposure in E-commerce, Technology Or New Age Industry would be an added advantage
- Strong technical knowledge in GTx products including Payments, Liquidity & Trade
- Self-starter who is able to handle all enquiries relating to GTX independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as a team player with strong influential skill that can motivate other team members to achieve the business objective.
- Strong origination capability coupled with excellent customer service & negotiation skills.
- Strong written and spoken English. Business mandarin language capability an advantage.
- Self-confident and performance driven. Ability to work under pressure and with a strong delivery focus.
- Ability to articulate, formulate and deliver high quality client presentation.
- Understanding of operations processes and procedures, and related risk in GTX transactions.
- Familiarity with the regulatory environment concerning financial industry in Middle East.
- Familiarity in
Mandarian
language would be an added advantage
