Role Overview
Support the lead teacher with preschool instruction, learning activities, classroom routines, and childcare.
Promote children's safety, wellbeing, development, independence, and positive behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with lesson plans, educational games, classroom activities, and learning materials.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, outdoor play, and rest periods.
- Support behavior management, social-emotional development, routines, transitions, and individualized assistance.
- Observe and report children's development, behavior, concerns, and progress to the lead teacher.
- Maintain a clean, organized, sanitized, and hazard-free learning environment.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff and model respectful, inclusive, and cooperative behavior.
Skills
- Patience, empathy, communication, teamwork, observation, creativity, enthusiasm, organization, and adaptability are emphasized.
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for children of different backgrounds and abilities are expected.
Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in Lic. Educación Preescolar or an equivalent qualification is required.
- TKT training course is listed as a qualification.
- Prior experience with young children in an educational or care setting is preferred.
