Responsibilities
- Represent the hotel professionally and ensure smooth Front Office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager
- Oversee daily reception activities including check ins, check outs, billing inquiries, and guest complaints
- Handle crisis management, operational decisions, and incident resolution while maintaining accurate Duty Manager logbooks
- Support training, performance reviews, and motivation of team members; ensure adherence to LQE standards
- Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and conflict resolution
- Enhance guest relations by creating memorable experiences and managing feedback effectively
Requirements
- Senior High School qualification required; Hospitality or Hotel Management degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a 5 star hotel, including at least 1 year as a Duty Manager
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PSMS, Alice, Alliants, HotSoS, and Rex systems
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent guest service orientation, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities
- Arabic language skills required
- Middle East and hotel pre opening experience considered advantageous

About the Job
- Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Front Office department, the Duty Manager is responsible to meet and exceed guest expectations by providing efficient and courteous Front Desk service.
- The Duty Manager is the custodian of guest opportunities and resolves them in a timely and professional fashion.
- Reports to the Assistant Front Office Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Represents the hotel professionally and ethically, ensuring smooth Front Office operations in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
- Oversees daily reception activities including check ins, check outs, billing inquiries, guest complaints.
- Handles crisis management, operational decisions, and incident resolution while maintaining accurate Duty Manager logbooks.
- Supports training, performance reviews, and motivation of team members; ensures adherence to LQE standards.

Qualifications
