Role Overview
AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Controller for construction supervision work in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The role manages project documentation so records are accurate, organized, accessible, transparent, current, and traceable.
The position collaborates across departments to support operational excellence and project success.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, copy, scan, and store documents in physical and digital formats while maintaining accuracy and organization.
- Review and edit technical documents, contracts, and project files to identify errors and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Manage documentation flow and distribute project-related copies to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive filing systems for physical and digital records to support easy retrieval.
- Create and customize document templates and standardized formats for future project use.
- Retrieve and provide files to employees and clients upon request.
- Review and update manuals, workflows, procedural guides, and other technical documentation to reflect current practices.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information, proprietary data, and agreement terms.
- Prepare ad hoc reports on project documentation status and compliance as requested by management.
