The Role
The Distribution Network Manager leads distribution network strategy, capacity planning, distribution-center performance, transportation coordination, inventory positioning, and logistics service delivery.
The role combines strategic network planning with operational and analytical work to improve service levels, reduce logistics costs, optimize inventory, and build resilience.
Network Strategy and Planning
- Develop and optimize distribution networks across regions, markets, warehouses, distribution centers, and customer channels.
- Evaluate facility locations, capacities, operating models, service territories, demand, geographic coverage, and customer requirements.
- Develop scenarios and business cases for expansion, consolidation, relocation, outsourcing, capacity changes, and new-market support.
- Establish distribution policies, operating models, service standards, governance frameworks, and network performance reviews.
