Role Purpose
The Transformation Program Governance Director provides strategic oversight and leadership across the Group’s multi-year digital transformation program.
This role ensures disciplined execution, strategic alignment, and value realization across all streams, while acting as the guardian of program governance, standards, and vendor accountability.
Operating at Group level, this leader drives cross-entity alignment, embeds best-in-class governance frameworks, and establishes the program as a benchmark for disciplined transformation delivery.
What You'Ll Be Doing
- Lead executive governance for the entire digital transformation program, strategically allocating resources, budgets, and priorities to maximize business impact.
- Safeguard program outcomes by overseeing benefit realization and hold workstreams accountable for delivering measurable value and results.
- Support and challenge program leaders to ensure delivery excellence, proactively managing risks, dependencies, and barriers.
- Provide senior leadership with data-driven insights, independent assurance, and strategic recommendations to guide decision-making.
- Define, document and continuously evolve Group-wide governance frameworks, standards, and policies to ensure consistent and mature program delivery.
- Establish and maintain a Transformation Governance Center of Excellence (CoE) offering tools, methodologies, and training for standardized delivery.
- Uphold governance rigor by designing and maintaining clear decision-making structures, reporting mechanisms, and escalation protocols that ensure transparency and accountability at all levels.
- Act as a senior escalation point and manage strategic vendor relationships, ensuring partners meet contractual commitments, quality standards, and timely delivery.
- Shape vendor engagement models and collaborate with Procurement, Legal, and Finance to optimize commercial terms, risk management and cost control across all vendor engagements.
- Ensure alignment across Group entities and business units, so that transformation initiatives are integrated seamlessly into the operating model and enable scalable adoption.
- Drive transparent, timely reporting and foster collaboration across geographies and functions to maintain senior stakeholder engagement and informed executive committees and SteerCos, enabling informed decision-making and program steering.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- Proven experience in leading governance and execution for large-scale, multi-year digital transformation programs, ideally in a multi-entity or international group context.
- Deep expertise in governance design, operating models, and transformation frameworks, with a track record of institutionalizing standards at Group level.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at C-suite and Board level.
- Demonstrated success in vendor and partner governance, including complex system integrator or technology engagements.
- Strategic thinker with operational discipline, able to balance control, flexibility, and delivery speed.
- Excellent communication, diplomacy, and stakeholder management skills across diverse cultures and functions.
