Role Overview
A prestigious five-star luxury hotel is seeking a Director of Operations.
The role oversees and elevates all aspects of hotel operations in a high-volume luxury environment.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on operational leader with expertise in Rooms Division and Food and Beverage Operations.
Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Services, Food and Beverage, Spa, and Recreation.
- Champion exceptional luxury service and ensure consistent delivery of memorable guest experiences.
- Work with the General Manager and Executive Committee to execute business strategies and operational objectives.
Standards and Performance
- Maintain and enhance operational standards in line with Forbes Travel Guide and Leading Quality Assurance requirements.
- Manage guest satisfaction, profitability, productivity, and service quality metrics.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
People and Commercial Management
- Develop, coach, and mentor department leaders while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, labor management, cost control, and revenue optimization initiatives.
- Lead operational projects, service enhancement programs, and business transformation initiatives.
Candidate Profile
- 10–15 years of progressive luxury hospitality experience, including senior operational leadership roles.
- Proven success managing large-scale, high-volume luxury hotels or resorts.
- Strong operational background in both Rooms Division and Food and Beverage Operations.
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards and LQA audits.
- Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive employee engagement, service excellence, and operational performance.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven record of improving profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Experience with hotel openings, repositioning projects, or operational transformations is an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Education
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
