About the Job

  • Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Engineering Department.
  • Responsible for the overall Engineering operation and facility management in compliance with all relevant local codes and regulations.
  • Also responsible for Policy & Procedures and the Safe, Sound & Sustainable by Mandarin Oriental manual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and disseminate all corporate and hotel Policies & Procedures.
  • Establish engineering guidelines, policies & procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Establish a monthly reporting system to monitor Key Performance Indicators, guest room maintenance, energy consumption, operational and energy expenses, project updates, LQE activities.
  • Prepare annual and Five Year capital plan.
  • Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects in accordance with group policies and procedures.
  • Recruitment and selection of qualified technicians and engineers.
  • Telecommunication system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Assist in annual maintenance of contingency systems supporting IT&T equipment and systems.
  • Monitor and prepare forecasts on the hotels POMEC expenses.
  • Prepare annual POMEC budgets.
  • Ensure engineering colleague performance is monitored and individual career development programs are developed.
  • Monitor and lead labour cost management.
