Responsibilities
- Oversee overall engineering operation and facility management
- Establish engineering guidelines, policies, and standard operating procedures
- Prepare annual and five year capital plans
- Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects
- Monitor and prepare forecasts on POMEC expenses
- Recruit and select qualified technicians and engineers
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations

- Experience in engineering management within hospitality or similar industry
- Knowledge of local codes and regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Ability to prepare and manage budgets

About the Job
- Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Engineering Department.
- Responsible for the overall Engineering operation and facility management in compliance with all relevant local codes and regulations.
- Also responsible for Policy & Procedures and the Safe, Sound & Sustainable by Mandarin Oriental manual.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and disseminate all corporate and hotel Policies & Procedures.
- Establish engineering guidelines, policies & procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Establish a monthly reporting system to monitor Key Performance Indicators, guest room maintenance, energy consumption, operational and energy expenses, project updates, LQE activities.
- Prepare annual and Five Year capital plan.
- Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects in accordance with group policies and procedures.
- Recruitment and selection of qualified technicians and engineers.
- Telecommunication system upgrades or enhancements.
- Assist in annual maintenance of contingency systems supporting IT&T equipment and systems.
- Monitor and prepare forecasts on the hotels POMEC expenses.
- Prepare annual POMEC budgets.
- Ensure engineering colleague performance is monitored and individual career development programs are developed.
- Monitor and lead labour cost management.
