- Prepare annual and Five Year capital plan
- Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects in accordance with group policies
- Recruit and select qualified technicians and engineers
- Monitor and lead labour cost management
Requirements
- Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in luxury hotels
- Knowledge of local codes and regulations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience with CAPEX and POMEC projects
- Ability to prepare annual and five year capital plans

About The Job
- Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Engineering Department, the Director of Engineering is responsible for the overall Engineering operation and facility management in compliance with all relevant local codes and regulations.
Key Duties
- Understand and disseminate all corporate and hotel Policies & Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Human Resources Policy to the colleagues.
- Act as a hotel ambassador at all times.
- Establish engineering guidelines, policies & procedures and standard operating procedures to maintain excellent standards of quality and reliability.
- Establish a monthly reporting system to monitor Key Performance Indicators, guest room maintenance, energy consumption, operational and energy expenses, project updates, LQE activities and other specific tasks.
- Prepare annual and Five Year capital plan.
- Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects in accordance with the group policies and procedures.
Expectations
- Recruitment and selection of qualified technicians and engineers.
- Telecommunication system upgrades or enhancements.
- Assist in annual maintenance of the contingency systems that support IT&T equipment and systems.
- Monitor and prepare forecasts on the hotels POMEC expenses.
- Prepare a summary and analysis of the annual POMEC budget.
- Prepare annual POMEC budgets.
- Ensure that engineering colleague’s performance is monitored and that individual career development programs are developed.
- Monitor and lead labour cost management.
