Digital Design Lead Structural - Dubai

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Lead structural digital design on projects and guide digital design staff while coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and technical leaders.
• Own structural model strategy and align delivery with Level of Development, Digital Delivery Plans, and project objectives.
• Oversee BIM elements for structural systems, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with project standards.
• Maintain structural modeling methodologies, content libraries, workflows, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership in 3D modeling and BIM tools and resolve complex modeling, coordination, and integration challenges.
• Direct and review drawings, layouts, structural details, reinforcement documentation, and design deliverables.
• Ensure structural model integrity across project data, coordinates, positioning, scales, orientations, and documentation.
• Lead model audits, clash detection, model health, quality assurance, and constructability reviews.
• Drive interdisciplinary Design Reviews and 3D Coordination to resolve conflicts across project disciplines.
• Act as the primary contact for structural digital delivery and align digital outputs with engineering intent.
• Champion improvements to digital delivery standards, tools, workflows, and BIM execution practices.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff and support automation, reality capture, digital twins, and data management initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering, architecture, construction, or technical field, or 8–10 years of progressive industry experience including leadership responsibilities.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D design and BIM software with extensive structural systems modeling and coordination experience.
• Strong understanding of digital delivery ecosystems, BIM standards, and document and data management infrastructure.
• Expertise with 3D coordination and model review tools and complex multidisciplinary issue resolution.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms.
• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced understanding of structural engineering principles, building systems, construction methodologies, and design documentation.
