About The Job

  • The Product Developer will be responsible for development, implementation, launch, and post launch of projects under their responsibility (renovation, innovation, and/or cost/quality projects), ensuring excellence in execution.
  • This role involves pilot testing, quantitative analysis, and coordination of industrial tests in production to support launches and project management.

Responsabilités clés

  • Define the development plan for new products based on objectives, costs, and timelines in the project brief.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing to generate innovation within the category.
  • Manage projects according to specific needs and Danone's methodology.
  • Act as R&I representative in each project, ensuring follow up with R&I tools.
  • Develop formulas and processes considering requirements from Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Production, etc.
  • Conduct pilot trials, organize tasting sessions with Marketing, and define conclusions and recommendations.
  • Industrialize new products with engineering and production departments.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or related field. Master's, an asset.
  • Three to ten years of experience in food product development.
  • Good project management and computer skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • Experience in plant based and dairy product formulation, a strong asset.
  • Experience working from lab to pilot and/or industrial production.
  • Flexibility to travel (10 20%, Canada and USA).
  • Experience in personnel management, an asset.
  • Bilingualism required due to frequent communication with business units, plants, and partners outside Quebec.

Salary Range

  • Annual base salary range: $72,000 to $100,000 CAD.
  • Final salary determined by relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity, and external market conditions.
