About the Opportunity

A manufacturer of industrial packaging, steel pallets, ASRS fixtures, and heavy fabricated structures is seeking a Design Engineer.

The role develops custom storage, transport, and material handling systems for automotive OEMs, retail chains, and industrial logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design 2D and 3D concepts for returnable and expendable racks, engine racks, pallets, crates, ASRS fixtures, containers, retail fixtures, and heavy structures.
  • Integrate protective liners into steel rack designs and prepare General Arrangement drawings, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and cutting plans.
  • Maintain precision, dimensional tolerances, structural integrity, safety factors, and load-bearing requirements for industrial interfaces.
  • Coordinate with production, welding, quality, and tool room teams during prototypes, pilot builds, and mass manufacturing.
  • Review customer and OEM specifications, packaging guidelines, and CAD data to develop viable design solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering.
  • One to four years of experience in sheet metal design, steel fabrication, or industrial packaging and material handling fixtures.
  • Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal forming, structural steel, stamping, welding, GD&T, and BOM generation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, space optimization, and attention to detail.

Compensation

  • The posting lists a monthly salary of ₹24,500–₹30,500, negotiable based on experience.
  • A separate pay line lists ₹11,413.42–₹45,784.35 per month.

  • Work is performed in person.
