Role overview
The Deputy Project Director will support the Project Director in overseeing complex airport development and operational projects in Doha, Qatar.
The role is responsible for delivery on time, within budget and to required quality standards while maintaining stakeholder relationships.
The position is part of AECOM’s project management team.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute airport projects while managing schedules, budgets, resources and cost control.
- Coordinate government agencies, contractors, consultants and internal departments.
- Monitor progress, identify deviations, conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards and organizational policies.
- Prepare reports and performance metrics, lead project teams and resolve stakeholder escalations.
- Analyze project performance to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Required qualifications
- At least 18 years of project management experience, including 10 years in senior project management or deputy director capacity.
- Experience managing airport development, cargo expansion or operational projects is required.
