Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled

Deputy Venue Technology Manager

to support venue-based IT, telecommunications, and broadcast operations during large-scale events.

The role is responsible for assisting the Venue Technology Manager (VTM) in ensuring technology readiness, operational support, and smooth execution of venue IT services across all event phases.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in

IT operations, event technology support, troubleshooting, and stakeholder coordination

within fast-paced event environments.

1. Venue Technology Operations Support

  • Support the Venue Technology Manager (VTM) in daily:
  • IT operations
  • Telecommunications support
  • Broadcast technology readiness
  • Assist in ensuring operational readiness across venue areas

2. Technology Readiness & Equipment Validation

  • Perform daily checks for:
  • Workstations and laptops
  • Printers and TVs
  • Radios and communication devices
  • Wi-Fi and wired network connectivity
  • Verify installation and operational status of ICT equipment

3. Event Operations & Venue Coordination

  • Assist with:
  • Venue inspections
  • Handover activities
  • Bump-in and bump-out operations
  • Live event technology support
  • Coordinate with operational and technical teams during events

4. Incident Management & Troubleshooting

  • Provide first-line technical support to:
  • Staff
  • Media teams
  • Event stakeholders
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate unresolved issues
  • Log and track incidents through the ITSM platform until closure

5. Equipment Tracking & Asset Coordination

  • Track ICT equipment:
  • Deliveries
  • Installations
  • Returns
  • Report discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions

6. Team & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Coordinate on-site technicians and support teams
  • Act as a liaison between venue users and ICT support teams
  • Maintain communication with the IT Command Center

7. Reporting & Documentation

  • Update:
  • Daily readiness checklists
  • Operational status reports
  • Incident tracking records
  • Escalate operational risks and issues to the VTM

Core Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in high-pressure event environments
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Attention to detail and operational discipline
  • Team collaboration and stakeholder management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in:
  • IT operations
  • Event or venue technology support environments
  • Experience supporting:
  • Live events
  • Venue technology operations
  • Multi-team coordination
