The Dental Receptionist is the first point of contact for patients and visitors.
They are responsible for creating a welcoming environment, managing the front desk, coordinating appointments, handling administrative duties, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of the dental clinic along with basic Marketing knowledge.
Front Desk Operations
- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage patient communication via email or messages.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.
Patient Administration
- Register new patients and update existing patient records.
- Verify patient information and dental insurance details.
- Collect payments, issue receipts, and manage billing inquiries.
- Prepare and manage patient charts and documentation.
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow.
Financial & Insurance Duties
- Process insurance claims and pre-authorizations.
- Track outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Assist patients with insurance and payment-related questions.
Communication & Coordination
- Liaise between patients and dental staff to ensure efficient service.
- Communicate daily schedules and updates to the dental team.
- Handle patient complaints or issues with professionalism and care.
Job Specification -
- Educational Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in office administration is a plus).
- Previous experience as a dental or medical receptionist preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and insurance procedures an advantage.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar).
- Must have some marketing skills like callings and basic promotion strategies.
- Arabic Language is preferred
