Summary
- Maintain a smooth workflow in the surgery with cooperation with dentist, colleagues and superiors to provide effective and efficient high standard care.
- Assist the dentist/surgeon in all aspects of the practice.
Daily Procedures
- Wear appropriate uniform, switch on surgery/unit and computer, X Ray.
- Check appointment and laboratory works.
- Run through 3:1 and motors to remove stagnant water.
- Flush water into spittoon, ensure clean environment.
- Assist surgeon throughout day, observe cross infection control.
- Be present in surgery during all operating procedures.
- Maintain stocks, note items that need refill.
- Keep patient record updated: invoices and charges.
- Accomplish daily statistics report.
- Clean and disinfect equipment at end of day.
- Dispose clinical waste and clean floor.
Weekly and Monthly Procedures
- Clean all displays, operating chair, suction tubes, X ray machine, etc.
- Clean cupboard fronts, skirting boards, pictures, mirrors, window sills, ceiling lights, ledges, shelves.
- Clean and reline all cupboards and drawers.
- Prepare weekly stat for weekly meeting.
- Monthly: Stock order, Sharpak disposal, prepare monthly statistics.
