Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry position in the Food and Beverage & Culinary department at Sheraton in Dubai.
The role is non-management and scheduled full time.
Culinary Responsibilities
- Prepare special meals, substitute items, cold foods, and food according to recipes and preparation checklists.
- Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and thaw frozen food safely.
- Maintain portioning, arrangement, garnish, presentation, food logs, and quality standards.
- Monitor food quality and quantity and communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
- Inform the Chef about excess food and service staff about menu specials and unavailable items.
Team and Operational Duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, guest service, working relationships, and quality expectations.
- Perform physical duties including prolonged standing, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school education is preferred.
- At least three years of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience or license certification is specified.
