Position Summary
The Commis prepares ingredients, cooks and portions food, operates kitchen equipment, and maintains food quality and safety.
The role is full time, onsite in Riyadh, and classified as non-management.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing food.
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
- Prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
- Test food for doneness, monitor quality, and maintain appropriate food temperatures.
- Set up and break down workstations and serve food in proper portions.
- Wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- The role requires extended standing, sitting, or walking during work shifts.
- The role requires bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, reaching, and handling objects up to 25 pounds.
Work Schedule and Location
- The position is full time and located at the Sheraton property in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- The role is onsite and includes physical kitchen work.
Safety and Professional Standards
Follow company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
Complete safety training and certifications and maintain a clean professional appearance.
Communicate clearly, maintain positive working relationships, and support team goals.
