About the Role
Shangri-La Group seeks a Demi Chef de Partie for the bakery section at its Abu Dhabi property. You will assist in preparing high-quality breads, pastries, and bakery items, maintain hygiene standards, and support mise en place.

Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and baking breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products according to standard recipes
- Support daily mise en place and ensure ingredients and bakery items are prepared and stored correctly
- Monitor product quality, consistency, freshness, and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards throughout the bakery section
- Support stock control, minimize wastage, and ensure proper use of bakery equipment and supplies
Requirements
- Minimum 1 2 years of experience in a bakery section within a hotel or restaurant environment
- Good knowledge of bakery production techniques, dough preparation, and baking methods
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Commitment to hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards
- Diploma or Certificate in Pastry, Bakery, or Culinary Arts preferred
- Certification in Food Safety, HACCP is an advantage

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and baking breads, rolls, pastries, and other bakery products according to standard recipes.
- Support daily mise en place and ensure ingredients and bakery items are prepared and stored correctly.

About You
- Good knowledge of bakery production techniques, dough preparation, and baking methods.

- Strong attention to detail and presentation; able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment.
- Team oriented with a positive and cooperative attitude.
- Commitment to hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Diploma or Certificate in Pastry, Bakery, or Culinary Arts preferred.
- Certification in Food Safety, HACCP and additional bakery training is an advantage.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a bakery section within a hotel or restaurant environment.
