About the Role
Grandiose, a premium grocery retailer in the UAE, is looking for a Demand Planner for its Supply Chain Department. The role involves driving accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning for food categories (Ambient, Fresh, Chilled, Frozen) to ensure high availability and minimal waste.

Responsibilities
- Develop SKU store level forecasts for food categories using historical sales, seasonality, and promotion impact
- Maintain rolling forecasts (weekly/monthly) and track Forecast Accuracy (FA%)
- Handle demand planning across Fresh Food, Chilled & Frozen, and Ambient Grocery categories
- Work with Commercial/Category teams to forecast promotion uplift and plan seasonal demand spikes
- Translate demand plan into replenishment requirements and coordinate with replenishment team
- Maintain optimal Days of Inventory (DOH) and safety stock levels
- Monitor and reduce near expiry stock and food waste, ensuring FEFO adherence
- Align demand plans with supplier lead times and MOQ constraints
- Support demand planning for retail stores, dark stores, and online platforms
- Generate insights on sales trends, OOS drivers, and demand variability using Excel, Power BI, and ERP
Requirements
- 4–8 years in demand planning / supply chain within FMCG / supermarket / food retail
- Strong understanding of food retail dynamics
- Analytical & data driven mindset
- Knowledge of demand planning concepts and inventory management
- Strong Excel & reporting skills
- Ability to work cross functionally
- Experience handling high SKU complexity and perishable inventory

Job Purpose
- To drive accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning for food categories (Ambient, Fresh, Chilled, Frozen), ensuring high availability, minimal waste, and optimized stock levels across stores & e commerce channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop SKU store level forecasts for food categories.
- Analyze historical sales, seasonality (Ramadan, festive peaks, weekends), and promotion impact.
- Maintain rolling forecasts (weekly/monthly) and track Forecast Accuracy (FA%).
- Handle demand planning across Fresh Food, Chilled & Frozen, and Ambient Grocery.
- Work with Commercial/Category teams to forecast promotion uplift and plan seasonal demand spikes.
