DC Lead - Tendering

Job Description

Qualification and Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
• The role requires 10 to 12 years of experience in Solar PV Power Plant design or Power Distribution Project design.
• The candidate must understand Solar PV generation estimates, layouts, DC single-line diagrams, module selection, inverter sizing, SMB, earthing, and cable sizing calculations.
• Knowledge of equipment layouts, national and international codes and standards, and contractual technical requirements is required.

Engineering Responsibilities

• Review and execute generation estimates, overall plant layouts, DC single-line diagrams, solar module selection, inverter sizing, SMB, earthing layouts, and cable sizing calculations.
• Facilitate BIM 3D model development for PV Solar Power Plants.
• Review drawings, electrical equipment designs, sizing calculations, vendor deliverables, and client approvals.
• Provide tendering inputs, technical insights, BOQ reviews, technical clarifications, and timely engineering documents.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary checks and support site execution, commissioning, and warranty activities.

Vendor and Project Coordination

• Plan engineering man-hours and coordinate project inputs from clients, project engineering managers, vendors, operations, and other departments.
• Evaluate vendors against client technical specifications, validate vendor submissions, and inspect equipment from finalized vendors.
• Review cable routing, cable tray, earthing, lightning protection, and related vendor or project layouts.
• Coordinate with supply chain, contracts, site execution, operations, and project teams to resolve technical issues.

Software Skills

• Awareness of PVSYST, Meteonorm, SOLAR GIS, Google Earth, and MS Office is desirable.
